Dottie loves to
hop into the bathtub and play with a paper cup full of
water. After she drinks from the cup, she tips it over and
is fascinated by the sound of the water trickling down the
drain. She is almost 16 years old. I think she is in her
second childhood. I taught her to do this when she was a
kitten and she has begun to play this little game again.
She sometimes sleeps in the bathtub at night. She is a
long-hair calico of no special breed, with big feet. Life
would not be the same without her. She has outlived two
other cat mates.

"Ziggy" and
"Maggie"
The big
guy is Ziggy and the little one is Maggie. We all reside in
Toronto, Canada.
Here
is our office kitty, Jingle Bells. She came to the
animal shelter with a dislocated hip and five tiny
babies she couldn't care for. I met her at the
veterinarian's office the day I had to have my
15-year-old cat put to sleep. The vet said, "I have
someone I want you to meet". In spite of the fact that
she was full of staples and stitches, all this kitty
wanted was a belly rub! Her kittens were placed with a
foster "Mom", and she spent a couple of months
recuperating at the shelter before she could come and
live with us. She still insists on daily belly rubs . .
